DThang better known as a rapper, was the younger brother of the late, great Lil Durk. His real name is, Dontay Banks Jr. He was shot and killed outside of a Chicago nightclub. After his death, he has several twitter users including producer Murda Beatz, Dreezy and Chicago rapper Calboy tweeted R.I.P. DThang.

More than 170,000 people are now following him on Instagram under the handle dthangracks. He passed away in June of 2021. His snapchat user name is, 'arrogant_dthang'.

Born on September 15, 1988 in Chicago, IL, DThang's age was 32 years old at the time of his death. He shared photos of himself wearing Adidas in early Instagram posts.

He grew up with his brother in Englewood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He grew up with a great deal of responsibility at home.

When he was a kid, he said, there were occasions when there wasn't enough food at home. As his online following developed, he became more enamoured with the notion of becoming a rapper and began to actively pursue it through platforms like Myspace and YouTube.

How was DThang murdered?

He was murdered on the 7900 block of S. Loomis Blvd. in Chicago, as per TMZ. The motive behind his not known and his autopsy is also not cleared.

After becoming a parent at the age of 24 and dropping out of Paul Robeson High School to join the Black Disciples, a Chicago street gang, he pursued his job more seriously.

Durk released several mixtapes: Love Songs for the Streets, in 2017. He appeared on the song "Laugh Now Cry Later" by Canadian rapper Drake on August 14, 2020. It was Banks' first top 40 and top 10 single, and it debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, making it his most successful single to date.
