Albert McIntosh is the son of Kate Bush, an English singer, songwriter, record producer, and dancer. She is the first female artist to achieve a UK number one with a self-written song.

There's a lot of suffering in Roman Catholicism. I think I'm looking for not necessarily religion, but ways of helping myself to become more understanding, more complete, a happier person ... Albert McIntosh's grandfather was an English doctor, general practitioner Robert Bush (1920–2008), and grandmother named, Hannah Patricia (née Daly) (1918–1992), an Irish staff nurse, daughter of a farmer in County Waterford.

His uncle names are, John and Paddy, in a 350-year-old former farmhouse at East Wickham near Welling, which neighbours Bexleyheath.

Albert's family came from an artistic background. Her grandmother was an amateur traditional Irish dancer, his grandfather was an amateur pianist.

His uncle, Paddy worked as a musical instrument maker, and John was a poet and photographer. Both uncles were involved in the local folk music scene. He was raised as a Roman Catholic.
