Zehra Gunes Career
The 2015 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was place in Georgia, and Güneş was there to perform. She competed in the 2015 FIVB Girls' U18 World Championship in Peru and was named the tournament's Best Middle Blocker.
As of 2016 FIVB World Grand Prix, Güneş has participated. At the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's U20 World Championship in Mexico, she competed as a member of the Turkish women's U20 squad and was honoured as a Best Middle Blocker.

She competed for the 2017 Turkish women's U23 volleyball team, which won the FIVB Women's U23 World Championship in Slovenia. She won gold medal in 2017 for FIVB Club World Championship.
She was asked to try out for the Turkish women's squad in January of 2017 and eventually made the cut in March of 2018. She competed for the silver-medal winning Turkish team at the first FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League in 2018. She also competed for Turkey in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where the team placed sixth overall.
